Our mission
We want to offer a mobility app for people and the territory.
What is mot:?
mot: is the public mobility app promoted by the Provincial Council of Tarragona and managed by BASE–Gestió d’ingressos. It serves municipalities in the Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l’Ebre,Baix Penedès and Girona.
With mot: you can park or charge your electric vehicle in the municipality. Access real-time mobility services and information. All from your phone, making your travel easier, faster, and more effective.
Park and move around the territory easily, efficiently, and sustainably.
mot: is free and made for you
mot: is designed for people who regularly move around the territory. We put technology at the service of people.
The public app is free to download and use, with no extra fees: you can freely use it for both Android and iOS.
Prices are set by each municipality in their local tax regulations. No fees or additional costs apply.
Project team
Promoted by the Provincial Council of Tarragona and managed by BASE–Gestió d’ingressos, the mot: app originated in 2016, when it was created by the Reus City Council under the name Aparcar, and it has expanded to municipalities like Tarragona, Salou, Cambrils, Valls, Vila-seca, Montblanc, and even beyond the province, like Girona.
Currently, mot: has 380,000 registered users, of which 170,000 have been active during 2024, and 40% use the app in more than one municipality. In 2023, more than 2.8 million parking sessions were managed through the app, and this year, 2024, more than 3 million have already been reached.
